The Garden of Eden story contains some of the most profound wisdom in all of scripture. The gift of reason which separates humanity from other animals carries a blessing and a curse. We are blessed with intelligence, creativity and initiative; these gifts are bought at the expense of our innocence and peace of mind. My daily task is to revisit the Garden and to experience the true harmony of being; the point of my prayer and meditation is to become God’s innocent child again.
